The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a UK government initiative designed to encourage homeowners and small businesses to replace old, inefficient heating systems with low-carbon, more energy-efficient alternatives. Homeowners can receive grants of up to £7,500 to help cover the cost of installing low-carbon heating systems. These systems include £7.5k funding on Air Source Heat Pumps and ground source heat pumps, and up to £5k funding on the installation of Biomass Boilers. The amount of the grant depends on the technology installed. www.ofgem.gov.uk
